Well, <a href="http://www.newscientist.com/blog/technology/2008/05/exoskeletons-for-sale-finally.html"  title="via NewScientist" rel="nofollow">now you can</a>! OK, but to be honest this is much more likely to have amazing medical (or military) applications than recreational ones. Berkeley Bionics has developed a suit that will allow users to carry up to 200 pounds with very little effort.</p>
<p>Perhaps the most disappointing thing is that, from a design standpoint, the suit looks quite cumbersome and is likely awkward to wear as well. Still, think of this as a prototype: if they were to go toward mass-production they would surely try and make the design more inspiring for potential purchasers. Either way would you really pass this up if you had the opportunity to own one?</p>
