We all want to succeed, and we all want to succeed as fast as possible. In this article I will be looking at a few things you need to keep in mind to set healthy goals for your own business. This is to avoid burnout, bankruptcy and getting things done. One of the secrets to succeeding as a Freelancer/small business owner is to set the right goals to focus on. I believe most of these tips will be useful for almost anyone wanting to succeed with a smaller business. I define healthy business goals as goals you are likely to meet if you work concentrated and focused. This is the opposite of those who set a lot of very high aiming goals and never reach them all. I would advice to set healthy goals that can be reached and take everything that’s additional as a positive bonus.
Before setting your goals

- define what is your niche and try to stay within it as well as possible.
- set up a list of your resources so that you know what you have to work with (time, money and skills).
- be honest with yourself on which things you excel at and what you should leave to others.
- try to figure out how many full work days you in average will have during a year and use this later on in the process.
