Both are great, but I seem to break my Joomla or loose content on my WordPress when trying out new changes or adding new modules, etc. It doesnt happen often but I always hated the risk I found when making small changes on my live site so I tried BAM! http://bamtastic.com/ and found support for Joomla and WP. I was able to work from my own sandbox and publish my changes when I finally got it working. I have always used Joomla but wanted to give WordPress more of a try.
