Reencoded Design Contest by Kuloco Clothing
Reencoded has teamed up with Kuloco Clothing to bring you a t-shirt design contest. The contest will be held from April 19th, 2009 through May 19th, 2009. The contest is open to anyone that wants to participate. The contest is to see who can create the best design for a new t-shirt. The artwork will be voted on and the design with the most votes will be printed in the Spring/Summer 2009 line of Kuloco Clothing.
To enter the contest, create a t-shirt design and send a picture of the print to webmaster@reencoded.com before 11:59pm on May 19th. Your entry will be voted on and the shirt with the most votes will be selected.The winner of the contest will receive $750 in cash and prizes, along with credit for creating the t-shirt. This is a great opportunity for up and coming designers to have their work produced by an established clothing company.

Here is a brief summary of Kuloco, for those of you are not familiar with them.
Taken from the Hawaiian word kuloko, meaning local, Kuloco Clothing represents a concept that extends far beyond its clothing. Unlike most clothing companies that are based strictly on what you do or who you are, Kuloco is founded on where you live. We live in Ocean City, Maryland. For this reason we changed the spelling of the word and started Kuloco in our hometown. The idea of the company is that all the means of production are done according to the fashion style and lifestyle of a certain area.
Most clothing companies solely target individuality and hobby. They aim only at how you live. We go to the foundation of this by targeting where you live. Kuloco looks at style, lifestyle, culture, and society through fashion in a way that has never been done before. We use the geography and demography of an area as inspiration. We create clothing that people can identify with on a level that other companies cannot deliver.
